Juan Esteban Cuacci
Born in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a self-taught musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer, and was named Outstanding Cultural Personality of the City of Buenos Aires by the Buenos Aires Legislature. He began his professional career at the age of 12, defining himself as a pianist, arranger and composer of Argentine and Latin American popular music.
For more than ten years he was Susana Rinaldi's pianist. Outside of tango, he was involved with other music such as Latin American folklore, jazz, jazz and rock, classical and contemporary music, pop and diverse world music, as well as theatrical experiences.
He has worked with artists such as Estrella Morente, Paloma San Basilio, Elena Roger, Olga Gillot, Sara Montiel, Liza Minelli, etc. For six years he was pianist and musical director of the Spanish artist Raphael.
Mariel Martínez
Mariel Martínez is originally from Buenos Aires and has lived in Madrid since 2002. She studied at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires and at the Conservatorio "Arturo Soria" in Madrid.
She simultaneously studied guitar with Rubén Ruiz and Ramón Maschio. In 2014 she was nominated for Best Female Tango Artist at the Gardel Awards in Argentina for her album Esos otros tangos.
Her discography includes seven albums, among them Perfume de tango, the aforementioned Esos otros tangos and Templanza.
She has performed in many theatres and festivals in Spain. He is currently presenting his new project Acá lejos with Juan Esteban Cuacci and La Máquina del Tango.
Silvina Álvarez
Silvina Álvarez is a violist with the Orquesta Nacional de España. She was assistant viola soloist with the Orquesta Filarmónica del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, the Camerata Bariloche and the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina between 2010 and 2019. She has collaborated as viola soloist with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne, the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras and, recently, as assistant soloist with the Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona.
She has also performed several guest projects with ensembles such as the London Sinfonietta, Ensemble Modern and Neue Musik Berlin. As a soloist, she has performed with the most important orchestras in Argentina, such as the Orquesta Nacional Argentina, Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Orquesta Provincial de Rosario and Camerata Bariloche, among others.
Laura Asensio López
Professor of the Orquesta Nacional de España and member of Le Concert des Nations conducted by Jordi Savall. She has a great versatility of roles as she has collaborated with a large number of orchestras and chamber ensembles, performing different styles such as Early Music, Contemporary and Popular Music such as Tango. Born in Soria, he began his musical studies with Antonio Pérez, finishing them in the class of Esko Laine at the HfM Hanns Eisler in Berlin. She furthered her training in master classes with Maggie Urquhart, Angel Santafé, Lucian Ciorata, Gary Karr, Slawomir Grenda and Nabil Sehata. Graduated in Suzuki Methodology, she offers Master Classes in conservatories and sections of young Spanish orchestras such as OJA or JORVAL.
In 2014 she created Música Anpil, her most personal project, a non-profit association from which she facilitates Haitian students to access instruments and musical studies in different schools in Haiti.
Rebeca Núñez
Rebeca Núñez is a dancer, choreographer and teacher of Argentine tango. She began her classical Spanish studies at the age of ten and later, under the influence of her parents, she entered the world of tango. She trained with different teachers in Spain and Argentina. He has been a member of several dance companies, such as Artango, Afrotango, Tango Sensaciones, Arrabal Tango (Portugal), Tango sin ti, Urbano Tango and Duende del Tango, among others.
She is currently part of the cast of the show Aires de mujer, by the pianist Polly Ferman. She has worked with musicians such as Daniel Binelli, Juan José Mosalini, Néstor Marconi, Juan Esteban Cuacci and Fabián Carbone, among others.
Mariano Otero
Mariano Otero found in dance a way to express himself artistically. From an early age, he learned to love and respect his culture, first with Argentinean folk dances and, after training in other disciplines, he decided to put all his efforts into this popular and civic dance that the world knows as tango.
He had the opportunity to share the Argentinean stage with many renowned figures, such as the classical dancer Eleonora Cassano and the singers Valeria Lynch and Juan Carlos Baglietto, among others. On several occasions he has given technical and choreographic advice to dance companies.
